Course Overview
This course is aimed at anyone working in medium risk confined spaces such as sewers, vessels, tanks and chambers, who need to enter and possibly disconnect and traverse away from the winch system. The course is competence based and requires delegates to show a sound understanding of safe working practices and emergency arrangements including the use of a variety of entry and safety equipment.
Who is the course for?
This Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces Water course is a
National Occupational Standard (NOS) for the water industry. The
NOS embodies the skill and knowledge elements, as part of the
requirement for candidates to become competent. It is designed
for managers, supervisors and operatives who may need to enter
or supervise the entry into Medium Risk Confined Spaces for the
water industry and carry out a variety of work activities.

Requirements
Candidates should be physically fit and medically capable of using
positive pressure breathing apparatus. It is advised to be clean
shaven when attending this course.
