Course Details

To provide learners with the knowledge and practical experience, using a Davit Arm, to enable them to rescue fellow operatives whilst working on site. The course will also ensure employers can implement the legal requirements as stated within the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and Confined Space Regulations 1997 – Plan suitable and sufficient arrangements for the rescue of persons in the event of an emergency, whether or not arising out of a specified risk.

This course is designed for any person responsible for insertion, recovery and safe rescue of fellow operatives on site using a UCL/Sala Davit Arm system

■ Practical and safe use of a Davit Arm

People attending this course must be medically fit and should have had the required training to allow them to work at height in the environment in which the rescue equipment is to be used. Must be 18 years of age.

Can all delegates provide their own safety footwear (Steel toe cap boots), and comfortable working clothing. Gloves are mandatory during practical’s please ensure they are brought with you

  • Please ensure you bring a form of ID to verify identity (required by some Awarding Organisations) 
  • A photograph may be required to be taken on the day for ID card issuing purposes
  • We may also take general photographs for social media purposes etc… If you do not wish to be included in any, please inform your instructor
