Course Details

The course is for those persons who must plan, supervise and access into confined spaces, but who also need the practical skills to use gas monitoring devices, PPE, harnesses and winching systems. It is aimed at those entering confined spaces but not limited to such as Drum, Steep, Silo’s, Still, Washback, Pits or enclosed/restricted areas inside buildings. This course provides delegates with a thorough understanding of confined space procedures, the dangers of confined spaces and enables them to carry out an entry to work in a confined space safely. This course specifically concentrates on the rescue skills required to provide on-site cover for those working in confined spaces. It covers winching and hauling systems, incident management and immediate-response risk assessment.

Persons should be medically fit

Can all delegates provide their own safety footwear (Steel toe cap boots), and comfortable working clothing. Gloves are mandatory during practical’s please ensure they are brought with you

  • Please ensure you bring a form of ID to verify identity (required by some Awarding Organisations) 
  • A photograph may be required to be taken on the day for ID card issuing purposes
  • We may also take general photographs for social media purposes etc… If you do not wish to be included in any, please inform your instructor
