Working at Height / Rescue Competent Persons

During your course we will provide;

  • A course manual, handouts and pen
  • Refreshments throughout the day
  • Any equipment required to complete the course
  • A microwave, fridge and toaster will be provided for delegate use if the course is held at a Zero Gravity Safety Location

Course Overview

This course is designed to train persons who are required to work at height. The course is specifically aimed at those personnel working on plant, property maintenance and off site work where they are required to use personal fall protection equipment for access and work at height activities and is designed to provide workers with the knowledge and skills which enables them to work safely at height including rescue provision.

Who is the course for?

This course aims to give an understanding of an operators / team leaders responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, and it’s supporting Regulations. Delegates’ will be made aware of their individual responsibility when working on site, and the importance of being aware of the on-site hazards in relation to working at height/Rescue and how to work safely.

Requirements

Delegates must be medically fit to work at height. Must be 18 years of age.

PPE Required

Can all delegates provide their own safety footwear (Steel toe cap boots), and comfortable working clothing. Gloves are mandatory during practical’s please ensure they are brought with you

ID & Photos

  • Please ensure you bring a form of ID to verify identity (required by some Awarding Organisations) 
  • A photograph may be required to be taken on the day for ID card issuing purposes
  • We may also take general photographs for social media purposes etc… If you do not wish to be included in any, please inform your instructor
