Course Overview
This course is designed to impart a training base for adult
educators so that they are able to prepare and administer the
relevant fire safety knowledge, as required by current fire
legislation and the expertise you need to teach others in-house
within their company.

sector, but especially for those who work in or come in contact

Day 1

â– Fire and smoke spread
â– Identifying and controlling fire hazards:
• Fire prevention
• Fire detection and raising the alarm
• Means of escape
• Principles of extinguishing fires
• Fire-fighting equipment and systems
â– Fire safety laws
â– Duties and responsibilities of employers and employees
â– Undertaking a fire safety inspection
â– Fire safety risk assessments
â– Contents of a fire safety briefing
â– Roles and responsibilities of the nominated fire warden
Day 2

any questions that the delegates raise

PPE Required
Can all delegates provide their own safety footwear (Steel toe cap boots), and comfortable working clothing. Gloves are mandatory during practical’s please ensure they are brought with you
