Course Overview
This course is designed to train persons who are required to
work at height or persons who work within the
telecommunications or power industries required to climb and
rig antenna systems or safety systems. This course is delivered
in accordance with BS8454-2006 Code of practice for the
delivery of training and education for work at height and
rescue.
Who is the course for?
This course covers the industrial climbing , RF Hazards, rigging
and light lifting and ability to assess lifting and installation skills
for steelwork and antennas. The course covers climbing and
rescue.
Contents Covered
â– Introduction, Legislation, Standards & Guidance
â– Selection, care and maintenance of equipment
â– Climbing techniques, ladder and structure
â– Use & knowledge of available F/A Systems on site
â– Restraint, work positioning and fall arrest systems
â– Use of ropes, knots and tensioned lines
â– Rigging and lifting systems
â– Elementary rigging and rope management
â– Theory test & Practical Assessment
Requirements
Delegates must be medically fit to work at
height. Must be 18 years of age.
PPE Required
Can all delegates provide their own safety footwear (Steel toe cap boots), and comfortable working clothing. Gloves are mandatory during practical’s please ensure they are brought with you
