X-Cam has a more advanced tooth design than traditional cams and is

more suitable for industrial applications as it does not pluck the rope, so

reducing rate of rope wear.

In tests on 11mm Tectra the average breaking load is around 675kg for

X-cams versus 535kg for established sharp toothed design.

X-cam geometry has been developed to address a number of issues:

• Does not jam, even against knots

• Provides high degree of grip on ropes of varying condition

including after rupture of sheath

• Highly effective on angled ropes

• Facilitates down-climbing

Handle design is ergonomically positioned and profiled for optimal pulling

and greater comfort.

Two attachment points allow cowstail and footloop to be connected

separately which eliminates the need to open a loaded karabiner.

The materials and design used in construction have been selected to

provide high strength and durability needed for industrial applications.

Each device is individually numbered making equipment management

easier.
