During your course we will provide;

A course manual, handouts and pen
Refreshments throughout the day
Any equipment required to complete the course
A microwave, fridge and toaster will be provided for delegate use if the course is held at a Zero Gravity Safety Location

Course Overview

This course aims to give an understanding of an operators / workers responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and it’s supporting Regulations. Delegates’ will be made aware of their individual responsibility when working on site, and the importance of being aware of the on-site hazards in relation to working at height and how to work safely. This course is IOSH APPROVED.

Who is the course for?

This course is aimed at people who are required to work at height but at different locations and require the skill and knowledge to be able to select and use different methods of anchorage and fall protection systems to suit.

Risk Assessment and hazard identification
Factors that influence selection of work at height equipment.
Planning considerations for work at height.
Select and use a range of personal protective equipment for work at height
Tracking and controlling equipment / Inspections
Donning and correct fitting of harness and associated equipment
Rescue planning
Practical exercise and assessment

Requirements

Persons attending this course must be medically fit.

PPE Required

Suitable footwear (Boots)
Gloves
Suitable clothing (please bear in mind the weather as part of the course may be outdoors)

ID & Photos

Please ensure you bring a form of ID to verify identity (required by some Awarding Organisations)
A photograph may be required to be taken on the day for ID card issuing purposes
We may also take general photographs for social media purposes etc… If you do not wish to be included in any, please inform your instructor
