Course Overview
This course is designed to impart a training base for adult
educators so that they are able to prepare and administer a fall
protection awareness seminar to other individuals
within their company. The program will provide an insight as to
the appropriate selection, use, and limitations of various types
of fall protection equipment as well as teach participants how
to relate the importance of harness inspection and donning in
your workplace. It includes program standards, lesson plans, slides, exam keys
and a copy of the student manual. This course is delivered in
accordance with BS8454-2006 Code of practice for the
delivery of training and education for work at height and
rescue.
You also get a ZGT 212 IOSH Working at Height certificate as part of this course
Who is the course for?
This course is for corporate in house trainers and provides them
with the technical knowledge and resource materials to enable
them to deliver professional Working at height Safety training to
all of their staff.

Day 1
â– Introduction, Legislation, Standards & Guidance
â– Hierarchy of Fall Protection
â– Fall protection theory & application
â– Hazards and precautions
■Risk Assessment – Specifically focusing on work at height
â– Use & knowledge of commercially available F/A Systems
â– Calculating fall clearance & selecting equipment
Day 2
â– Work restraint and Fall arrest system training
â– Anchor Point selection and use
â– Storage and Maintenance including inspection logging
â– Ladders and Step ladder Safety
â– Rescue requirements and options
â– Documentation, Due Diligence and Compliance Training
â– Student Safety During Training Exercises
â– Theory test & Practical Assessment
Requirements
Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
(PTLLS) (6302) or similar qualification
PPE Required
Can all delegates provide their own safety footwear (Steel toe cap boots), and comfortable working clothing. Gloves are mandatory during practical’s please ensure they are brought with you
