Course Details

This course is designed to train persons who are required to work at height or persons who work within the telecommunications or power industries required to climb and rig antenna systems or safety systems. This course is delivered in accordance with BS8454-2006 Code of practice for the delivery of training and education for work at height and rescue.

During your course we will provide;

Who is the course for?

This course covers the industrial climbing , RF Hazards, rigging and light lifting and ability to assess lifting and installation skills for steelwork and antennas. The course covers climbing and rescue.

Introduction, Legislation, Standards & Guidance
Selection, care and maintenance of equipment
Climbing techniques, ladder and structure
Use & knowledge of available F/A Systems on site
Restraint, work positioning and fall arrest systems
Use of ropes, knots and tensioned lines
Rigging and lifting systems
Elementary rigging and rope management
Theory test & Practical Assessment

Delegates must be medically fit to work at height. Must be 18 years of age.

Can all delegates provide their own safety footwear (Steel toe cap boots), and comfortable working clothing. Gloves are mandatory during practical’s please ensure they are brought with you

  • Please ensure you bring a form of ID to verify identity (required by some Awarding Organisations) 
  • A photograph may be required to be taken on the day for ID card issuing purposes
  • We may also take general photographs for social media purposes etc… If you do not wish to be included in any, please inform your instructor
